MINSK, 18 December (BelTA) - Belarusian MPs plan to pay visits to Latvia and the Czech Republic, and also to Indonesia and Thailand in 2016, Chairman of the House of Representatives Vladimir Andreichenko said when closing the eighth session of the fifth convocation, BelTA has learned.
"We are planning to host delegations from Bulgaria, Georgia, Pakistan and Tajikistan," Vladimir Andreichenko added.
“Of course, in 2016 Belarus will once again draw the international attention, this time with the parliamentary elections. The election topics will also be included in the international agenda," the Speaker said.
In addition, Vladimir Andreichenko said: "With regard to the work in electoral districts, during the winter holidays this work is mainly charity events to make sure that no child in the country is left without care and attention.”
Speaking about the goals for next year, the Speaker said: "The year will not be easy. We will need to work to the top of our ability as the head of state expects of all branches of power.
