MINSK, 25 August (BelTA) – Belarusian MPs and Chairman of the House of Representatives Vladimir Andreichenko to visit Iran have been invited to visit Iran, head of Iran’s Islamic Consultative Assembly friendship group with the National Assembly of Belarus Ali Kaidi told reporters in Minsk on 25 August, BelTA has learned.
According to Ali Kaidi, one of the main goals of his visit to Belarus was to invite a Belarusian parliamentary delegation headed by Speaker Vladimir Andreichenko to visit Iran. "We are developing the relations with your country in all areas, and this will ultimately help boost the bilateral economic relations," the Iranian spokesman said.
In 2010-2012 and in 2014 the trade with Iran exceeded $100 million annually, with the Belarusian export prevailing in the structure of bilateral trade. A number of Iranian companies are engaged in the implementation of investment projects in Belarus (to build a multifunctional hotel and business complex Magnit Minska, create a transport and logistics complex Prilesye in the Free Economic Zone Minsk, to build a multipurpose business, trade and service center Chervensky and other projects).
