MINSK, 18 August (BelTA) – The mutual facilitation of visa procedures between Belarus and the United Arab Emirates was discussed in Abu Dhabi on 17 August, representatives of the Embassy of Belarus in the UAE told BelTA.

These matters were discussed by Minister-Counselor of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the United Arab Emirates Sergei Belogortsev and UAE Deputy Foreign Minister Mohammed Al-Raisi. Mohammed Al-Raisi was appointed Deputy Foreign Minister on 10 August. The sides discussed the development of the bilateral relations and the expansion of the legal base of Belarus-UAE cooperation.

By the way, in 2008-2010 Mohammed Al-Raisi was the first ambassador of the United Arab Emirates in Belarus. In 2010-2014 he was the head of the UAE’s diplomatic mission in France.
