MINSK, 14 December (BelTA) – The Belarusian BRSM Youth Union and the Polish Rural Youth Union signed a memorandum of cooperation, coordinator of international activities at BRSM Alesya Sazankova told BelTA.
The document was signed during a friendly visit of the Belarusian youth delegation to Poland. The document provides for an opportunity to carry out joint international projects and programs for youth in the field of volunteering, employment, support for innovations and scientific activity of young people, youth entrepreneurship.
During the visit the youth organizations discussed the ways of strengthening family traditions and encouraging young families to stay and live in the village. The sides agreed on the joint family agricultural project “The Lord of the Village” which aims to popularize agricultural work and way of life, enhance the role and importance of the family.
In the future the organizations intend to implement projects within the framework of Erasmus + that involves both the the Polish Rural Youth Union and the Belarusian BRSM Youth Union.
The Polish Rural Youth Union is the youth agricultural organization that unites youth from rural and provincial communities. Now it comprises about 10,000 young farmers. Since 1996, the union has been a member of the European Council of Young Farmers and 4H clubs which consist of 25 European organizations. The Polish Rural Youth Union is also a member of the Polish Council of Youth Organizations.
