MINSK, 20 February (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Ecuador and concurrently to Colombia Igor Poluyan presented his credentials to the President of Colombia Juan Manuel Santos on 16 February, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Colombian head of sate underscored his country's openness to cooperation with Belarus.
During a meeting with Colombian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maria Angela Holguin, the parties discussed topical issues of Belarusian-Colombian cooperation, including prospects for bolstering trade and economic ties, developing the legal framework and increasing the exchange of visits of official delegations and representatives of the business community.
