MINSK, 26 June (BelTA) – The National Assembly of Belarus is working on an agreement on cooperation with the parliament of Sri Lanka, Chairman of the House of Representatives Vladimir Andreichenko said summarizing the results of the fourth session of the fifth convocation on 26 June, BelTA has learned.
“The document will be signed during the forthcoming official visit to this country,” the Speaker noted.
Speaking about the development of international cooperation, Vladimir Andreichenko reminded the MPs that in June 2014 the parliamentary delegations of Belarus visited Latvia and Vietnam. The work is underway to prepare a visit to Georgia, hold the 8th meeting of the Inter-Parliamentary Commission on Cooperation with the National Assembly of Armenia.
According to the Speaker, in the near future Belarus will be visited by parliamentary delegations from Venezuela, Israel, China, Mexico, Malaysia, and Turkmenistan.
In his speech Vladimir Andreichenko praised the efficient work of MPs during the current session. He took note of the ratification of a number of agreements within the Customs Union and the CIS. Legislative recognition achieved the cooperation with Bolivia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Russia, Tajikistan, Sri Lanka, other countries in trade, economic, military technical cooperation, pension provision and education.
