Belarus, Venezuela agree to exchange high-level visits

MINSK, 17 September (BelTA) – Belarus’ Ambassador to Venezuela Andrei Molchan has met with Venezuela’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Europe Ivan Gil, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The parties discussed the agenda of Belarus-Venezuela relations and also preparations for mutual high-level visits.

The two countries established diplomatic relations on 4 February 1997. In December 2006 Venezuela opened its embassy in Belarus. The Belarusian embassy opened in Caracas in October 2007.
