MINSK, 27 March (BelTA) – An official visit of Belarusian Defense Minister Andrei Ravkov to Uzbekistan began on 27 March, the press service of the Belarusian Defense Ministry told BelTA.
While in Uzbekistan the Belarusian defense minister is expected to meet with Secretary of the Security Council under the President of Uzbekistan Viktor Makhmudov. Andrei Ravkov will also hold negotiations with his Uzbekistani counterpart Abdusalom Azizov. A bilateral agreement on military cooperation will be signed then.
Andrei Ravkov is also expected to visit the Academy of the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan.
