MINSK, 24 June (BelTA) – Yuri Ambrazevich, head of the main department for multilateral diplomacy of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry, has held consultations with representatives of the US Department of State in Washington. Taking part in the talks was Charge D'affaires of Belarus to the United States of America Oleg Kravchenko, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.
Yuri Ambrazevich and the division heads of the US Department of State shared information about the two countries’ priorities at the forthcoming UN General Assembly. Yuri Ambrazevich informed the US diplomats about Belarus’ initiatives to foster international multilateral cooperation and suggested uniting efforts to resolve a number of international issues.
The sides discussed the activities of Belarus and the United States in the UN and other international organizations and the interests of the two countries in international forums.
“Belarusian and American diplomats expressed interest in continuing the dialogue with a view to improving understanding between the parties,” the Foreign Ministry noted.
