Belarus-Ukraine bilateral cooperation discussed in Astana

MINSK, 25 September (BelTA) – Belarusian Premier Mikhail Myasnikovich met with his Ukrainian counterpart Nikolai Azarov in Astana on 25 September to discuss bilateral cooperation, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian government.

The meeting took place during Mikhail Myasnikovich’s working visit to Kazakhstan.

The parties discussed a number of issues related to both bilateral cooperation and collaboration in integration associations. According to Mikhail Myasnikovich, Belarus and Ukraine need to discuss the projects under implementation and think of new cooperation areas.

The Premiers also discussed the forthcoming visit of Nikolai Azarov to Belarus.

As BelTA has reported earlier, Belarusian PM Mikhail Myasnikovich is in Kazakhstan on a working visit on 24-25 September. The program of the visit envisages the Premier’s participation in the meeting of President Nursultan Nazarbayev with the heads of government of the participating states in the Customs Union and the Single Economic Space. Mikhail Myasnikovich is also due to take part in a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, conduct a number of bilateral meetings.
