MINSK, 3 October (BelTA) – The prospects of expanding trade, economic, political and inter-parliamentary cooperation between Belarus and the UK were discussed during a visit of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to the UK Sergei Aleinik to Birmingham, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.
Sergei Aleinik took part in a conference of the UK Conservative Party. The Belarusian diplomat also held meetings with representatives of the UK Conservative Party, MPs and businessmen.
Sergei Aleinik also met with Lord Mayor of Birmingham Shafique Shah and Director of the International Trade and Development Department at the Birmingham Chamber of Commerce and Industry Jonathan Weber. The parties discussed the prospects of expanding trade, economic and investment ties between the countries, cooperation in culture and education.
