MINSK, 11 November (BelTA) – A set of Belarusian-Turkish documents was signed following the talks between the presidents of the two countries in Minsk, BelTA has learned.
Presidents Alexander Lukashenko of Belarus and Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey signed a joint communique. It reads that the talks were held in an atmosphere of friendship and understanding. The heads of state discussed the status and prospects of development of the Belarusian-Turkish relations, and exchanged views on the issues on the regional and international agenda.
An action plan to develop cooperation between Belarus and Turkey for 2016-2017 was signed in the presence of the leaders of the two countries.
Intergovernmental agreements were signed on mutual trade promotion, on cooperation in the peaceful use of nuclear energy, science and technology.
A memorandum of understanding was signed between the Education Ministry of Belarus and the Council of Higher Education of Turkey; a memorandum of understanding was concluded between the two governments on cooperation in agriculture.
The Emergencies Ministry of Belarus and the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency of Turkey signed an agreement on cooperation in disaster risk management.
A cooperation agreement was signed by BelTA News Agency and Anadolu Agency.
