The matter was discussed at the meeting with a group of Korean digital government experts in the State Property Committee of Belarus on 25 March, BelTA has learned.

The Korean experts, who are representatives of Samsung Company, were ready to share their experience in digital government. They were made familiar with the state system used to manage land resources in Belarus. Mr Alexander Pomelov, Director of the Belarusian research enterprise for land utilization, geodesy, and cartography BelNITszem, remarked that a website had been set up in Belarus to allow the general public, companies and government agencies to access the country’s spatial data. The spatial data of land information systems will be useful for complex multifunctional analysis of the state and prospects of territorial development. Statistic reports will be compiled, information support will be rendered for land utilization, land demarcation projects. The website will be also used to provide aid in registering rights to land plots. The website is being tested now. Once the data protection system is implemented, the website will be open for commercial use.
