Belarus to preside at session of CIS Heads of Government Council on 21 November

MINSK, 18 November (BelTA) – Belarusian Prime Minister Mikhail Myasnikovich will take part in a regular session of the CIS Heads of Government Council presided by Belarus in Ashgabat on 21 November, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Government.

The agenda of the session includes 30 items. The participants are expected to sign five international agreements, discuss issues of economic cooperation between the CIS member states, and review the implementation of the provisions of the free trade agreement of 18 October 2011. “In the framework of its presidency, Belarus has prepared a number of initiatives on further development of the Commonwealth that will be offered for discussion,” the press service noted.

The Belarusian Prime Minister will also hold a number of meetings with the heads of the official delegations to talk over the current issues of bilateral cooperation.

Before the session of CIS Heads of Government Council, Mikhail Myasnikovich will review the progress of construction of the Garlyk mining and processing factory and the service center for Belarusian vehicles in Ashgabat. The session will also discuss the organization of the national fair of Belarusian goods in Ashgabat in December 2014.
