The participants of the meeting will also discuss ways to intensify the ties between the countries of the region, bolster investment, technical, and economic cooperation, and strengthen the interaction with international organizations. Besides, plans have been made to talk over the development of trade and economic cooperation in promoting the One Belt One Road initiative.

The participants of the meeting (heads of delegations) will hold talks with members of China's State Council in Beijing on 17 September.

BelTA reported earlier that the decision to grant Belarus the observer status in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization was made at the SCO summit in Ufa on 10 July 2015.
