BELGRADE, 12 June (BelTA) – A package of documents aimed at expanding all-round Belarus-Serbia cooperation was signed in Belgrade following the official talks between Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko and his Serbian counterpart Tomislav Nikolic, BelTA has learnt.
The heads of state signed a joint statement where they voiced their determination to ramp up long-standing and mutually beneficial ties in the bilateral and multilateral format.
The two presidents attended the signing of cooperation documents between industrial companies of Belarus and Serbia. These documents included a memorandum on expanding assembly production of MAZ machines in Serbia and a memorandum on establishing assembly production of light tractors. Cooperation documents were signed in the field of geology, physical education and sport, and youth policy.
A cooperation agreement was signed between Minsk and Belgrade. A friendship and cooperation agreement was concluded between Borisov and Serbia’s Pozarevac.
