MINSK, 28 November (BelTA) – On 2 December Belarus and Russia plan to sign documents to address issues concerning supplies of merchandise from Belarus, BelTA learned from Vice Prime Minister of Belarus Mikhail Rusyi on 28 November.
“We believe that we will sign the documents to address these problems on 2 December,” said Mikhail Rusyi. The official explained that veterinary specialists from Russia, the European Union, the World Organization for Animal Health, Ukraine, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, and Poland will arrive in Belarus on 1 December.
He also said that negotiations had been held already with head of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance of Russia (Rosselkhoznadzor) Sergei Dankvert, Russian Agriculture Minister Nikolai Fedorov, and Vice Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich. “It has been decided that three groups of specialists will be created soon to work out methods to resolve issues regarding transit, monitoring, and how many samples companies should take and send to Belarusian authorities and Russian authorities to prevent any questions,” explained the Vice Prime Minister.
