MOSCOW, 10 July (BelTA) - The Foreign Ministers of Russia and Belarus agreed on concrete steps in foreign policy to support the integration within the framework of the Customs Union and the Single Economic Space and the future Eurasian Economic Union, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov told reporters following the talks with Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei in Moscow on 10 July, BelTA has learnt.

Sergei Lavrov stressed that the issues related to the integration within the framework of the Customs Union and the measures towards the Eurasian Economic Union are a priority on the agenda of the foreign ministries of Belarus and Russia.

The head of the Russian Foreign Ministry stated that the Belarusian and Russian Foreign Ministers held comprehensive talks on all issues of bilateral cooperation, and participation in the integration associations. "We reaffirm the continuity of the relations which are based on common historical and cultural roots and well-established traditions of interaction," Sergei Lavrov said.

According to him, much of the talks focused on the coherent foreign policy in the international arena. “We have established a reliable mechanism of interaction, including through joint meetings of the foreign ministries of the two countries," said Sergei Lavrov.
