MINSK, 21 February (BelTA) – Belarus keeps advocating peaceful settlement of the crisis in the southeast of Ukraine, Permanent Representative of Belarus to the United Nations Valentin Rybakov said at the UN General Assembly Briefing on the Situation in Ukraine, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“Valentin Rybakov reaffirmed Belarus’ unwavering commitment to peaceful settlement of the crisis in the southeast of Ukraine. He named factors that should be in place in order to reach peace and accord there. These factors include termination of violence, prevention of armed clashes and observation of the Minsk Agreements without any preconditions,” the foreign ministry informed.
Valentin Rybakov recalled Belarus’ proposal for a new and wide-ranging international dialogue designed to reach peace and calm between states.
