MINSK, 2 September (BelTA) – All children in schools should get equal meals. Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko gave the relevant instructions as he visited a newly built school in Minsk on 2 September, BelTA has learned.
The head of state was demonstrated the dishes available in the school’s canteen. The matter of differences in meals for school students was raised. Parents pay for the meals their kids eat in schools. However, the state covers the cost of meals for some categories of students, including children from large families. Due to differences in the cost of the meals such children get a different choice of dishes and meals than their classmates.
“All children should be treated equally. Don’t make fools of yourselves. It is the kind of nonsense I am hearing for the first time. Definitely equal treatment!” Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed.
