MOSCOW, 4 April (BelTA) – Belarus and Panama are going to appoint honorary consuls. This matter was discussed during as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Belarus to Russia Igor Petrishenko met with Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Panama to Russia Miguel Umberto Lecaro Barcenas in Moscow on 4 April, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian diplomatic mission.
“The two sides discussed the strengthening of bilateral cooperation in different spheres, the development of the legal base of bilateral relations, and the appointment of honorary consuls,” stated the source.
The diplomatic relations between Belarus and Panama were established on 22 October 1998. Belarus-Panama trade reached $6.6 million in 2017.
