MINSK, 20 April (BelTA) - Chairperson of the Commission of the African Union Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma will visit Minsk on 21-23 April to discuss the issues of expanding cooperation with Belarus, spokesman for the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dmitry Mironchik told a briefing on 20 April, BelTA has learned.
The program of the visit envisages meetings with representatives of the government, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Industry Ministry, the State Science and Technology Committee, the National Bank. A memorandum of understanding is expected to be signed between the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Commission of the African Union regarding the mechanism of holding political consultations and information sharing. The document will lay foundation for further cooperation between Belarus and this important regional organization.
On 23 April the high guest will give a lecture at the Belarusian State University. She was named the honorary professor of the university in 2007.
