Belarus’ major draft economic documents for 2018 approved

MINSK, 30 August (BelTA) – The government has approved the main draft economic documents of Belarus for 2018, spokesman for the Belarusian prime minister Vladislav Sychevich told BelTA after the session of the Council of Ministers held on 29 August to consider the country’s draft social and economic development forecast, the draft budget, and the draft major monetary management guidelines for the next year.

According to Vladislav Sychevich, the package of forecast documents will be submitted to the head of state in the near future.

The forecast documents are based on two scenarios of economic development depending on different external and domestic conditions: a conservative one (for the budget) and a target-oriented one (for the forecast). Belarus’ GDP growth in 2018 is projected at 3.4% under the target-oriented scenario.
