MINSK, 9 August (BelTA) – Belarus and Israel have discussed prospects of cooperation in the area of healthcare. The matters were discussed as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Israel Vladimir Skvortsov met with Deputy Director of the International Cooperation Department of the Tel Aviv First Medical Center Yuri Rankov, BelTA has learned.
The sides exchanged opinions about the state of cooperation in healthcare. The ambassador talked about the potential of Belarusian applied science centers for traumatology and orthopaedy, neurology and neurosurgery, and children surgery from the point of view of their possible cooperation with Israeli partners.
Prospects of implementing educational programs and workshops on various medical specializations and on-the-job training were also mentioned. The sides agreed it is advisable to establish cooperation between the Israeli clinic and the state company ClinicsBel in the area of medical tourism and with the national applied science center for cardiology in the sphere of transplantology.
An agreement was reached to arrange a visit of the delegation of the Tel Aviv First Medical Center to Minsk soon for the sake of negotiations with potential partners.
