MINSK, 5 October (BelTA) – Belarus and Cyprus need to develop long-term mechanisms of cooperation, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said as he received credentials of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Cyprus to Belarus on concurrent Georgios Kasoulides on 5 October, BelTA has learned.
Alexander Lukashenko remarked that people in Belarus like sunny and hospitable Cyprus. “I hope that our contacts will be strengthened and developed not only in tourism but also in other areas of mutual interest,” the Belarusian head of state said.
Receiving credentials of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania to Belarus Viorel Mosanu, the President stressed that Belarus prioritizes the enhancement of bilateral political, economic and humanitarian cooperation with Romania. In his opinion, there are good prospects in the construction industry, transport, pharmaceutics, food production, agriculture, tourism, science, education and culture.
