MINSK, 3 October (BelTA) – Political contacts between Belarus and Germany were top on the agenda of the meeting of Belarus’ Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei with Matthias Platzeck, former Chairman of the Social Democratic Party of Germany, former Minister-President of Brandenburg, member of the Board of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation, Chairman of the German-Russian Forum, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.

The parties discussed a possibility to ramp up bilateral cooperation, including by means of arranging a series of joint events. Vladimir Makei and Matthias Platzeck also discussed regional security.
