MINSK, 2 October (BelTA) – Belarus is expected to be visited by parliamentary delegations of Venezuela and Mexico as well as Brunei and Myanmar, Speaker of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Vladimir Andreichenko said at the first meeting of the autumn session on 2 October, BelTA has learned.
The Speaker also informed on the preparation for the visits of Belarusian delegations to the Czech Republic and Sri Lanka.
This year Minsk has been chosen as a host of an onsite meeting of the CSTO PA permanent committee on defense and security as well as an international conference on the election process development in the CIS space.
Belarusian parliamentarians will take part in the 131st Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union that will take place in Geneva. The agenda of the meeting will include the elections of a new chairman and the consideration of the IPU strategy for 2012-2017.
Apart from that the Parliamentary Assembly of the Belarus-Russia Union will adopt the 2015 Union State budget. Vladimir Andreichenko stressed that special attention would be drawn to the 15th anniversary of the Union State Treaty.
