Belarus-EU visa facilitation agreement almost ready for signing

MINSK, 22 March (BelTA) – The agreement on visa facilitation between Belarus and the European Union is almost ready for signing, Belarus’ Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei told the media during his visit to the Khatyn Memorial on 22 March, BelTA has learned.

The foreign minister said that the document had a few arguable points. The parties managed to come to a collective decision which enables them to sign the agreement in the near future. However, since the document has been developed together with the agreement on readmission, it is impossible to say that it will soon be signed.

The minister expressed confidence that the parties would be able to reach common opinion on the agreement on readmission.
