MINSK, 12 April (BelTA) – Belarus Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei met with Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn in Warsaw on 12 April, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The parties discussed the EU-Belarus relations, human rights and democracy, the press service informed.
As BelTA informed earlier, Vladimir Makei is attending a meeting of the ministers of foreign affairs of the Visegrad Group (Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic) and the European Union’s Eastern Partnership Initiative participating states in Warsaw, Poland on 12 April. Participants of the meeting are expected to discuss topical aspects of interaction between the Visegrad Group and Eastern Partnership Initiative countries in anticipation of the forthcoming Eastern Partnership Initiative summit. Vladimir Makei is also expected to hold bilateral meetings with top officials of the ministries of foreign affairs of European Union member states, Eastern Partnership Initiative participating states, and European Union government agencies.
