MINSK, 5 February (BelTA) – The consultations between the foreign ministries of Belarus and Ecuador are set to take place in Quito on 11-12 February within the framework of the second session of the Belarus-Ecuador commission for trade and economic cooperation, Spokesman for the Belarusian Foreign Ministry Dmitry Mironchik told media on 5 February, BelTA has learned.
The Belarusian delegation will be led by Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Guryanov. The Ecuadorian side will be led by Deputy Foreign Minister Leonardo Arizaga.
According to Dmitry Mironchik, the partners will share views on a broad range of matters, including cooperation with major trading partners and regional integration associations, and collaboration within the framework of international organizations.
Belarus and Ecuador will also discuss ways to improve the legal framework of the bilateral cooperation and to make the most of Belarus’ status as a member of the Eurasian Economic Union. The partners will also give their take on Belarus’ prospects to join the World Trade Organization.
