Belarus eager to bolster cooperation with African countries

MINSK, 12 December (BelTA) – Belarus confirms eagerness to promote cooperation with African countries which become more and more influential in the global politics and economy nowadays, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said as he received credentials of ambassadors of Egypt, Congo, and Mozambique to Belarus on 12 December, BelTA has learnt.

The head of state emphasized that many African countries demonstrate impressive economic progress.

“We must do our best to restore full-fledged cooperation with the Arab Republic of Egypt. It is not only an economic and political partner of Belarus but also one of the most important areas of support in the entire African continent,” the President said as he received credentials of Ambassador of Egypt to Belarus Mohamed Abdelsattar Mohamed Elbadri.

The President remarked that the interaction with Mozambique is increasingly vibrant. “The year 2014 has laid the foundation of our all-round dialogue. It is important to implement planned projects in manufacturing and agriculture in order to advance relations to a brand new level,” the Belarusian head of state told Ambassador of Mozambique to Belarus Mario Saraiva Ngwenya.
