Belarus’ Deputy Foreign Minister on working visit to El Salvador, Nicaragua, Argentina

MINSK, 17 September (BelTA) – Belarus’ Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alexander Guryanov is paying a working visit to El Salvador, Nicaragua, and Argentina on 15-23 September, spokesperson for the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dmitry Mironchik told a press briefing on 17 September, BelTA has learned.

Alexander Guryanov took part in the first-ever political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Belarus and El Salvador. Plans have also been made to hold the first session of the Belarus-Argentina intergovernmental commission and the second session of the Belarus-Nicaragua intergovernmental commission for trade and economic cooperation.

A package of five documents is expected to be signed during the visit. The documents will contribute to the development of the legal framework for the cooperation between Belarus and the three states. The documents include a Belarus-Nicaragua intergovernmental agreement on the abolition of visas for holders of diplomatic and official passports and a memorandum of cooperation in agriculture with Argentina.

Dmitry Mironchik said that the cooperation between Belarus and El Salvador is currently at the initial stage of development. Yet the countries are enthusiastic about advancing it.
