Belarus’ delegation to visit Sudan 12-15 January

MINSK, 11 January (BelTA) - A delegation headed by Belarus’ Deputy Foreign Minister Valentin Rybakov will visit Sudan’s Khartoum on 12-15 January, BelTA learnt from the Foreign Ministry of Belarus.

The delegation will comprise representatives of Belarus’ government agencies and enterprises. The goal of the visit is to prepare for the second session of the joint Belarusian-Sudanese cooperation commission.

During the visit Valentin Rybakov is expected to meet with top officials representing a number of Sudanese ministries, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment. The delegation will also meet with Sudanese MPs.

The first round of consultations between the foreign ministries of Belarus and Sudan will be held during the visit, too. The sides are expected to exchange views on Belarusian-Sudanese cooperation, the two countries’ collaboration in international organizations and the development of the Belarus-Sudan legal framework.
