MINSK, 16 April (BelTA) – Belarus and China will continue the practice of training troops together. The relevant agreement was reached during the meeting of Belarusian Defense Minister Andrei Ravkov and Chinese Minister of National Defense Chang Wanquan in Moscow on 16 April, BelTA learned from Oleg Voinov, State Secretary, Aide for Military Policy to the Belarusian Defense Minister.
The two ministers discussed matters of military and military technical cooperation, including the training of Chinese military personnel in Belarus and Belarusian personnel in China. The celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Victory was also mentioned. In particular, the ministers agreed that a delegation of the Belarusian Defense Ministry will take part in the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the end of World War Two and the end of China’s war against Japanese militarists in Beijing on 3 September.
BelTA has been told that the meeting of the Belarusian and Chinese defense ministers took place as part of this year’s plan for bilateral military cooperation.
