MINSK, 3 December (BelTA) – The House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus ratified the Belarusian-Chinese intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in education affairs on 3 December, BelTA has learned.
The agreement was signed in Minsk on 10 May 2015. In particular, it envisages exchange programs for university students, post-graduate students, doctor’s degree students, pedagogues and scientists. The number of participants of the program will not exceed 40 people from each side per annum.
The document also provides for on-the-job training, career advancement and retraining opportunities. The development of direct cooperation between higher education institutions is another avenue of cooperation.
Apart from that, the Belarus parliament also ratified the Belarus-Poland agreement on cooperation in the prevention of emergencies and natural calamities and in the alleviation of their consequences. The agreement provides for mutual assistance in emergencies, the organization of joint exercises, joint training of specialists, information exchange and other measures.
