MINSK, 31 December (BelTA) – The National Bank of the Republic of Belarus has published a map of major goals for 2020, BelTA learned from the website of the country’s central bank.
“The National Bank’s map of major goals is a key element of strategic planning. The document describes the hierarchy of goals and tasks, defines the bank’s actions to achieve them,” the bank said.
The goals to ensure price and financial stability are traditional for most central banks. Inflation is forecast within 5%.
“The achievement of these goals secures favorable conditions for sustainable economic development,” the National Bank added.
The main objectives of the National Bank are defined taking into account the provisions of the Banking Code and the norms of Decree No.78 “On measures to improve the efficiency of the social and economic sector of the Republic of Belarus” of 23 February 2016.
