MINSK, 11 November (BelTA) – The Belarusian-Canadian ministerial consultations were held in Ottawa on 9-10 November, BelTA learned from the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus.
A Belarusian delegation was led by Oleg Kravchenko, the head of the America Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Canadian one was headed by Kevin Rex, Director of Eastern Europe and Eurasia at Global Affairs Canada.
The parties discussed the status and prospects of development of Belarusian-Canadian political and economic relations.
Oleg Kravchenko met with representatives of the government bodies of Canada to discuss the ways of intensifying bilateral cooperation in the areas of mutual interest.
Oleg Kravchenko attended a seminar dedicated to the cooperation with the Eurasian Economic Union held in Montreal on the initiative of Canada Eurasia Russia Business Association. The diplomat also met with professors and students of the University of Ottawa to talk about the history, modern life and international relations of Belarus.
