MINSK, 19 June (BelTA) – Belarus and Azerbaijan confirmed the strategic nature of the relations between the two countries. The statement was made at a meeting between Belarus’ First Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Mikhnevich with Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov in Baku, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.
“The sides confirmed the strategic nature of the Belarus-Azerbaijan relations, discussed promising avenues and projects to enhance bilateral cooperation,” the press service said.
Baku hosted ministerial consultations led by Alexander Mikhnevich and Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Khalaf Khalafov. The agenda comprised a wide range of issues of bilateral relations, including the political dialogue, trade, economic, scientific, technical and humanitarian cooperation, improvement of the legal framework, Belarus-Azerbaijan cooperation in international organizations.
