MINSK, 3 December (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Ethiopia and Kenya (concurrent accreditation) Dmitry Kuptel has presented credentials to President of Kenya Uhuru Kenyatta, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.
“After the official ceremony the sides discussed the current state and development prospects of bilateral cooperation in various industries and the prospects of organizing the assembly of Belarusian tractors and other equipment in Kenya,” the press release of the press service reads.
The Belarusian ambassador also met with Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of Kenya Amina Mohamed. At the meeting the minister confirmed eagerness to visit Belarus in 2015. During the forthcoming visit the sides are planning to sign an intergovernmental agreement on trade and economic cooperation, a memorandum of cooperation between the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry and the Agriculture Ministry of Kenya, a cooperation agreement between the Belarusian Foreign Ministry and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of Kenya.
