MINSK, 27 January (BelTA) – Minister of State of Monaco Serge Telle suggested arranging a visit of a Monaco business delegation to Belarus as he met with outgoing Belarus’ Ambassador to France with a concurrent accreditation to Monaco Pavel Latushko, BelTA learned from the website of the Belarusian Embassy in France.
The parties emphasized the importance of establishing diplomatic relations between the two countries, which will contribute to more active cooperation between Belarus and Monaco in various fields. Serge Telle suggested arranging a visit of a Monaco business delegation to Belarus with support of the Monaco Economic Board.
Top on the agenda were also contacts in sport as Belarus is gearing up to host the 2nd European Games 2019. Belarus expects the availability of Minsk-Nice flights and the 30-day visa waiver, including for Monaco nationals, to encourage more tourists from Monaco to visit Belarus. Cooperation prospects in culture were also on the agenda.
The parties discussed the opening of honorary consulates, which could give a boost to Belarus-Monaco cooperation.
