MINSK, 23 October (BelTA) – Armenia’s governmental delegation has arrived in Belarus on a visit, spokesman for the Belarusian Foreign Ministry Dmitry Mironchik told reporters on 23 October, BelTA has learned.
The delegation is led by Economy Minister of Armenia Karen Chshmaritian. According to Dmitry Mironchik, the delegation is expected to take part in a meeting of the Belarusian-Armenian intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation on 24 October. The Belarusian part of the commission will be led by Forestry Minister Mikhail Amelyanovich. “The parties will discuss the state and prospects of the bilateral trade and economic cooperation, progress made in the implementation of joint projects in agriculture and industry, development of sci-tech and humanitarian cooperation,” Dmitry Mironchik added.
The program of the visit will also include meetings of the Armenian delegation with representatives of Belarusian ministries: the Foreign Ministry, the Economy Ministry, the Agriculture and Food Ministry, the Transport Ministry. It is expected that Armenian guests will visit a number of Belarusian companies in Minsk.
