MINSK, 17 July (BelTA) - A regular round of talks to secure peaceful settlement of the situation in eastern Ukraine is underway in Minsk, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The meeting of the working groups will be followed by the talks of the Trilateral Contact Group.
The previous meeting took place in Minsk on 2 July. The Security Working Group discussed the disengagement of forces in the vicinity of Stanitsa Luganskaya, OSCE’s special representative in the trilateral contact group Martin Sajdik informed. The parties confirmed the need for the so-called “bread ceasefire” and agreed to continue discussing the issue at the next meeting.
The Economic Working Group discussed water provision, including the financial state of the Voda Donbassa water supply system. The Humanitarian Working Group continued discussing the exchange of persons detained as a result of the conflict.
