MOSCOW, 29 July (BelTA) - Cooperation in agriculture, education, and geological exploration was discussed in a meeting between Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Igor Petrishenko and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kenya to Russia and in Belarus Paul Kibiwott Kurgat in Moscow on 29 July, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian diplomatic mission.
"The parties shared the views on the most pressing issues of the development of bilateral relations. Particular attention was paid to the potential of trade and economic cooperation, in particular in the areas of agriculture, education, geological exploration, development of the legal framework, ways of intensification of bilateral relations and expansion of contacts at the level of foreign ministries, through the exchange of visits,” the press service noted.
Diplomatic relations between Belarus and Kenya were established on 17 November 1993. In 2012, the bilateral trade amounted to $2.02 million.
