MINSK, 14 December (BelTA) - Belarus is interested in stable mutually polite relations with the EU and NATO, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Ukraine Igor Sokol said in an interview with the daily newspaper of the Ukrainian government, BelTA has learned.
“Belarus is a member of the Eurasian Economic Union and the Collective Security Treaty Organization. But we do not see this contradict our objective interest in developing stable mutually polite relations with the EU and NATO, the integration with which is a priority for Ukraine,” said Igor Sokol.
The Ambassador also pointed out that Belarus and Ukraine participate in the European Union’s Eastern Partnership Initiative, which is an important platform of interaction between Minsk and Kiev on the international arena.
