Alexander Lukashenko announces major high-profile events

MINSK, 22 May (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has announced an array of major events at the level of head of state during a working meeting with Head of the Belarus President Administration Natalia Kochanova on 22 May, BelTA has learned.

“We should review the issues in the housing and utilities sector at the level of head of state, get back to the matters of construction and hold major meetings on agricultural development and education. All in all, we should organize five to six high-profile mass participation events to put the record straight,” Alexander Lukashenko noted.

According to the president, there are plans to hold a number of smaller events dedicated to sports and promotion of entrepreneurship. “These events will gather fewer participants but we should put the record straight in the public eye,” the Belarusian leader pointed out.

Alexander Lukashenko also inquired when the materials on the ways of fostering entrepreneurship and improving the business climate will be prepared. “I suppose that the process of discussions has finished so far,” the president remarked.

The head of state also paid attention to debureaucratization. “The head of the President Administration should control the adoption of the relevant decree. We should keep track of this process,” Alexander Lukashenko underlined.
