Speakers of KEF economic forum in Minsk announced

MINSK, 1 November (BelTA) - Kastrycnicky Ekanamicny Forum “Foundations of the future” will take place in Minsk from 2 to 3 November, BelTA has learned.

The KEF 2017 conference is meant to search for solutions to help lay the groundwork for Belarus’ future and bridge the gap between politics and practice.

During the first day, the participants will discuss current economic trends, the society's changing values and their impact on politics, and also the development prospects of Russia as Belarus’ most important economic partner. An evening panel discussion will be dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Belarus’ membership in the IMF.

Another panel discussion, headlined Minsk Consensus, is designed to review the agenda in social and economic reforms in post-transformation countries in light of global challenges. The discussion is to open the second day of the forum.

The conference will also comprise discussions on the necessary transformations in two fundamental fields: law and education.

The list of speakers includes Chairman of the NBRB Board Pavel Kallaur, chief adviser to the Chairman of the NBRB Board Alexander Zaborovsky, EBRD Director for Country Economics and Policy Artur Radziwill, Head of the EU Delegation to Belarus Andrea Wiktorin, World Bank Country Director for Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine Satu Kahkonen, and others.
