MINSK, 14 June (BelTA) – The second runway in Minsk National Airport will become operational by 7 November 2018, Belarus’ Deputy Transport and Communications Minister Aleksei Lyakhnovich said when speaking at a meeting in the House of Representatives, BelTA has learned.
“The head of state set the task to commission the second runway by 7 November 2018,” Aleksei Lyakhnovich said.
According to him, the work is on schedule. The project will be 60% complete by the end of 2017.
The second runway in the country’s main airport will be 3.7km long and will be able to accommodate all types of aircraft.
