MINSK, 1 September (BelTA) – The Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade has included products of ten Belarusian enterprises in the register of industrial goods made in the EAEU member states, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade.

These Belarusian companies include mechanical engineering companies MAZ and Amkodor, Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant (MZKT), textile manufacturers Kamvol and Sukno, and others. Their products are now eligible for participation in Russian public procurement programs with limitations under the Russian government’s Resolution No.616 of 30 April 2020,” the press service noted.

BelTA reported earlier that Russia adopted Resolution No.616, which effectively restricts the access of foreign industrial goods to public procurement programs in Russia. It makes the exception only for goods produced in the Eurasian Economic Union, provided they are included in the relevant register which is compiled by the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade.

The Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade coordinates the work to add goods by Belarusian enterprises to the Russian register or, in other words, to make them eligible for participation in Russian public procurement programs. The ministry calls on enterprises that are eyeing the Russian market, to step up work in this field. As of 24 August 2020, the applications to the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade must be filed via the state information system of the industrial sector of Russia.
