MINSK, 8 May (BelTA) – The first Belarus-Japan economic forum will take place in Tokyo and Osaka on 9-11 May. Attending the event will be more than 200 business people, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Japan Ruslan Yesin told BelTa in an interview.
“Over 200 businessmen from the two countries, including 30 people from Belarus, are expected to take part in the event,” Ruslan Yesin said.
Among Belarusian participants are representatives of heavy industry and light industry companies, manufacturers of pharmaceutical, meat and dairy products and confectionery. According to the diplomat, some of them can already boast efficient cooperation with Japanese partners.
“Some companies are making their first steps in Japan, so it is too early to talk about contracts. At the same time, our companies expect to find new partners at the forum,” the ambassador noted.
