MINSK, 6 December (BelTA) – Belarus’ Defense Minister Andrei Ravkov is paying a visit to Latvia on 5-6 December to discuss the prospects of bilateral cooperation in the area of defense, BelTA learned from the Defense Ministry.
“The program of the visit envisages meetings with Latvian Minister of Defense Raimonds Bergmanis, Minister of Foreign Affairs Edgars Rinkevics, and also a visit to a school that trains instructors for the National Armed Forces of Latvia in the city of Cesis,” the Defense Ministry noted.
The parties are expected to discuss the state and prospects of bilateral cooperation, including in the area of defense, the ministry said.
